Frequently Asked Questions
How does PPF differ from a Ceramic Coating?
Both Ceramic Coatings and Paint Protection Film offer excellent protection, they are very different in both installation and material. Ceramics leave an invisible, ultra glossy finish usually with better self cleaning properties and cost significantly less – but for all out protection against heavy rock chips, key scratches or track use for example, PPF would be the better choice.
Will paint protection affect the appearance of my vehicle?
It will – but only in the best of ways! Ceramic Coatings especially, enhance gloss and depth of colour, giving a permanent ‘wet look’ to the applied surface.
We will always perform a Multi-Stage Paint Correction & Refinement prior to installation, further enhancing the finish . The preparation process combined with the coating itself will leave your car looking magnificent!
Can paint protection help to prevent scratches and swirl marks?
Yes! The primary reason to install Ceramic Coatings or PPF to help prevent light scratches and swirl marks caused by washing, general used and mishaps that happen along the way. Coatings are far harder & thicker than your vehicle’s clear coat, and PPF is deigned to absorb impacts & scratches, leaving the paint untouched underneath.
It is important to note that nothing can stop this from happening all together, everything has its limitations but installing a Ceramic Coating or PPF on your vehicle will most defiantly reduce the likelihood of scratches & swirl marks occurring. They are also highly chemical resistant, reducing chemical etching from the likes of acid rain, bird droppings, possum urine, and tree sap.
How much does paint protection cost?
Price will range depending on a number of factors including size & vehicle condition, but also the type of protection chosen. It is because of this, we prefer to see your vehicle in person to first inspect the paintwork, and then to discuss your paint protection options.
Paint Protection packages range anywhere from $1,100 to $8,000+
